It often appears that tragedies happen in groups, and Baltimore recently saw its share of tragedies in the form of roadway accidents. Two serious collisions occurred in a single night, according to a report in the Baltimore Sun. In the first, one person was killed on Interstate 895 when a vehicle flipped. There were four people in the vehicle. The Baltimore Sun reports that details were not immediately clear, but police are investigating the cause of the accident, and charges may be pending.
Shortly after and just a few miles down the road, a similar car accident occurred when another vehicle flipped. The driver of the vehicle was a 53-year-old man, and he had to be extracted from the vehicle by Baltimore County firefighters. The immediate cause of the accident was not known. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for neck and back pain.

Three Injured in Dunkin’ Donuts Crash
Three people were seriously injured when a dramatic accident took place at a Dunkin’ Donuts. According to CBS Baltimore, a full investigation into the crash and who was responsible is currently underway. Witnesses report hearing the glass storefront windows breaking, which was followed by screaming. When the situation settled, a large SUV was stationary across the store window.
Two customers standing outside of the store were hit by the SUV and pushed into the store. They were taken to a nearby hospital and treated for serious injuries. Witnesses claim it was difficult to tell how fast the vehicle was going at the time, but they were quoted as saying it is miraculous that no one was more seriously injured or killed.
Police have indicated it is likely that the driver will face charges. The owner of the store, however, was left to pick up the pieces, as much of the shop was destroyed by the freak accident.
